About Me.

Hi! I am Joaquín

I’m a first-generation, Mexican American, college student, and a future lawyer.

Career

My journey into advocacy began in 2021 during my parents’ immigration process.

Over the couple months that I accompanied my parents, I learned that this field relied on empathy and understanding, and required a major change.

In 2022, I immersed myself in my studies at Washington and Lee University, gaining hands-on experience in community development and policy analysis.

Currently, I am studying abroad in Mexico, learning more about the complex migration system, and completing an Independent Study Project.

I am always eager to learn from seasoned advocates through mentoring and professional opportunities.

My career dream is to collaborate with passionate individuals dedicated to creating equitable solutions and making a positive impact in our communities.
